Elena Shelestova – Executive Director
Elena works as a diabetes nurse, diabetes educator, nutritionist, nutrition educator at the National Center for Diabetes Research. She is an Executive Director of the NCD Alliance, Georgia, Vice – Chairperson of the Association of Professional Development of Georgian Nurse and Nurse Assistances and Managerial Director of the Georgian Union of Diabetes and Endocrine Associations. Elena has graduated FEND EndCup Course. She was the Member of International Diabetes Federation (IDF) European Board as well as Board Member of the Nurse Section of the ESE (European Society of Endocrinology); a member of the IDF Europe WG that created European Maps for the program CMap Education Tools, and received an International Certificate as Expert Trainer. She has extensive experience in carrying out trainings in diabetes for nurses in and outside Georgia.
